Amazing Photo of a Chihuahua Fetus
National Geographic Channel will air a special later this month (England only) called "Extraordinary Animals In The Womb". The show will follow certain animals from conception to birth.
To get these amazing photos, researchers and CGI model-makers used "ground-breaking photographic techniques, plus state-of-the-art graphics, 4-D scanning techniques and the most sophisticated natural history models ever."
Here's the Chihuahua fetus a week before birth.

the anti abortion crowd really needs to get on board this technology to show what fetuses look like that are about to be aborted.

If you killed this puppy, they would call you a monster.

Goodness folks. Relax and appreciate this image for the amazing technological achievement that it is.

"If you killed this puppy, they would call you a monster. "
Hmmm...so what do you call animal control departments that kill adult animals that are left by owners?

It's not a Chihuahua. It's a Choice.

Keep your laws off of the Momma dog's body. Keep your rosaries out of her ovaries. Every puppy a wanted puppy. If you can't trust the Momma dog with a choice, how can you trust the Momma dog with a puppy? Pro-puppy, pro-litter, pro-choice! Forget about the puppy, this is all between the Momma dog and her veterinarian. I'm personally opposed to killing puppies. But I would never impose my choice on dogs! Kill the puppy, because we have separation of church and state! If someone nice doesn't kill the puppy, the Momma dog will have to find someone shady and dangerous to do it.
Ahhh, who am I kidding? Puppies are adorable, so they have the right to life! The principles are *totally* different!

Can anyone tell me what is that bulbous cone-shaped growth on the umbilical cord?
Ginger on October 16, 2008 at 04:26 AM
If we aborted puppies, then we wouldn't have such a problem with unwanted dogs...we do it for children, why not dogs?

I think it's the placenta.

Having bred quite a few dogs in my time I think this is a fake. The hair looks awfully dry and any pup I've ever seen born is in a sac which fits the pup like a glove. If those veins in the background are supposed to indicate where the sac is then that pup could do cartwheels in there. In fact, looking at it again I'm sure it's a fake. Too many anomalies.

There's no need to abort any puppies if pet owners are responsible and get their pets spayed and neutered!

How long did it take for Evolution to design and invent the system of tubes, nourishment, oxygen transmission and waste removal that allows reproduction and how many generations did it to get it right?
And how did the species survive after the first failure?
